Markets & Events
Throughout the year the town and surrounding areas host an array of fairs and festivals celebrating the foody culture. In May, an annual Food Festival takes place at the town centre and along the Quomps while Mudeford celebrates its proximity to the sea with an annual seafood festival. The ever-popular Cheese and Chilli Festival takes place in June and Highcliffe hosts its own celebration of food with a popular community-backed event.
Cafes & Delis
Christchurch is awash with so many independent places where you can sit and relax with a coffee and a good book that you won’t know where to visit first. Take a walk along the high street and see the bustling café culture or visit one of its neighbouring quaint coastal villages where you’ll find plenty of options.

When it comes to watering holes, there are few places quite so diverse as Christchurch. With such a long-standing history (the town dates back to the early Saxons), you’ll find traditional English pubs that demonstrate the wealth of the town’s architecture. Nestled alongside them are modern day wine bars often offering live music.
