Welcome to Bournemouth
It's the start of a new year in the UK's most colourful seaside resort and there's so much to look forward to!
Our seven-mile stretch of unspoilt coastline is the perfect backdrop for brisk winter walks or gearing up for springtime sports.
Known as the ‘coast with the most’, there are acres of space to enjoy outdoor pursuits or mess about on the water. Walk, run or cycle on sandy beaches, through Victorian gardens or along our majestic clifftops. Surf, paddle-board or jet ski alongside panoramic sea views and picture-perfect sunsets.
Head here for a blues-busting getaway and whether you’re looking for an iconic, period hotel or cosy, family-run B&B, there are plenty of places to stay in and around Bournemouth.
When the winter weather sets in, there are museums, amusements and a huge cinema complex where you can enjoy a great day out under cover from the elements.
There are also hundreds of bustling restaurants, cafés and bars in the heart of the town. Stop in after a day spent in our selection of high street shops or department stores or grab a bite to eat or celebratory tipple before catching a show in one of our theatres or concert venues.
The coastal villages of Boscombe, Southbourne and Westbourne are dotted delicately along the clifftops, home to independent boutiques and brasseries where you can soak up life on the coast.
And our calendar of family friendly events shows no sign of slowing down after the festive season as the Bournemouth Bay Run returns and the resort bubbles with excitement ahead of what promises to be another super summer season.
So, with fabulous ways to get fit, family fun and a packed programme of fantastic events, there’s every reason to #lovebournemouth this year!
