    Map & Directions

    Road Directions

Head for Bournemouth! On arrival at Bournemouth, head for ‘Boscombe Pier and Beaches’, which is signposted from the A338 (the main road through Bournemouth). If you are coming by bus or train, although you can walk from Bournemouth Train station (Bournemouth Travel Interchange), unless you know where you are going we would advise getting a bus or taxi to Boscombe Pier. On arrival at Boscombe Pier, face out to sea. Turn right and follow the Promenade (beach road) towards the other pier (Bournemouth Pier). Parking is available along the promenade but can be considered expensive especially during peak season. If you are walking, find your way to the beach at the closest point to you, the promenade runs for miles along the seafront – no left or right turns to remember, just make sure you are heading in the right direction!! Surf Steps is located between Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers, but closer to Boscombe Pier (as described above).

    Free car parking!

There is free car parking  for the duration of your lesson! You will be able to park for free from 30 mins before your scheduled lesson until 30 mins after the scheduled finish time with a valid booking invoice. If you wish to park for any longer than this you will need to purchase a valid ticket. Parking is always subject to availability and Surf steps accept no responsibility for any fines given for parking outside these specified times.

The English weather being what it is we can never guarantee conditions. Accordingly if there are waves we run Surfing Sessions and if it’s flat we run SUP (Paddleboard) Sessions. That way we will always be able to run a water based activity.
