Shopping in Bournemouth
If you’re looking to spend a day shopping, then come along to Bournemouth town centre– a bustling high street with familiar chain retailers as well as boutique independents and fabulous new department store. It is only a short distance from the town’s train station and is regularly serviced by two bus companies and taxis. This is a vibrant town centre, with Victorian to modern day architecture, surrounded by beautiful award-winning gardens and all just a short walk from the beach.

Bournemouth town centre has a pedestrianised high street with a mix of well known fashion brands, high street shops and independent boutiques. Surrounded by restaurants, bars and coffee shops, there are plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind after a busy day.
While you’re in the town centre, visit Bobby’s – Bournemouth’s fabulous new destination store in the square with a beauty hall housing the global brands that we all know and love as well as a dedicated section for local, sustainable and conscious beauty and health products. There’s also Drool – a store dedicated to man’s best friend.
For beauty and bath time treats, the well know store Lush - which originates locally from Poole - does not disappoint; with hand-made and fun cosmetics.
When it's time for lunch BH2 in the gardens offers a great choice of eateries. The gardens also offer a perfect place to take a break and have a sit down with a coffee.
Known to locals as ‘Bournemouth’s Bond Street’, Westover Road runs alongside the gardens and you can shop for designer labels, art and jewellery along its canopied walkway. The Triangle is well known for its eclectic, bohemian vibe and you can pick up fancy dress and dancewear ready for a big night out. Lansdowne is Bournemouth’s business district and there are florists and specialist stockists dotted among the bars and restaurants on Old Christchurch Road.
Everything is in walking distance of the resort’s historic gardens and beautiful beaches so why not make a day of it and stay a while?

Bournemouth is home to Castlepoint, just over three miles out of the main town and fully accessible by public transport and with free car parking. It features many well known shops, including a Marks & Spencer on three floors, Next, Robert Dyas, H&M, TK Maxx and many others perfect for fashion and footware as well as gifts and homewares.
In Bournemouth’s suburbs, you’ll find boutiques and brasseries lining the arcades and avenues, as well as clusters of quirky curiosity shops and a bustling café culture.

Home to Bournemouth’s vintage quarter and open air market and a mile from Bournemouth Town Centre, Boscombe is full of retro boutiques, cafés and book shops. The main centre is pedestrianised and home to the usual high street names and there's also an indoor shopping centre. From here, you can easily while away an afternoon strolling along from the town centre to Pokesdown visiting the many antique, retro and bric a brac shops.
Affectionately known as ‘the village’, Westbourne has a charming Victorian arcade and is packed full of upmarket independent boutiques and interesting shops, as well as pubs, bars and restaurants.
Nestled on the clifftop above the sea, Southbourne’s shops are awash with arts, crafts, gifts and trinkets – ideal for browsing on a leisurely day out. It is loved by locals for its quirky independent shops and great night-time scene. You will find everything from breweries, cocktail bar, old school pubs and a Michelin recommended restaurant.
Getting to Bournemouth is easy. We have excellent public transport links and ample parking.
