About Us
What is Bournemouth parkrun?
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you!
When is it?
Every Saturday at 9:00am.
Course Description
Our current route is roughly 50/50 grass/path and tarmac. After poor weather it can get muddy in the non-tarmac parts. The course consists of 3 laps (1 small and 2 big). We ask participants to keep left at all times and overtake on the right-hand side.
The event starts on the grass behind the athletic stadium, before turning right, then left past the cemetary and play park before reaching the ‘Split’ where you will go left to complete lap 1.
Lap 2 takes you back around the football pitches and back to the ‘Split’ where you now turn right. Through the ‘Woods’ and then left up the scenic grass section towards ‘Katie’s corner’. Turn left here and left again past the skate park. Keeping in the left ‘lane’ of cones, past the start line and to begin the 3rd (and final) lap.
Lap 3 is a repeat of lap 2, until the skate park where you will now enter the right ‘lane’, before looping around the cones into a slightly downhill finish on the grass.
Facilities
We are lucky to have full use of the facilities in the stadium, including changing and toilets.
