About Us
Come and stay at a hotel that loves quality, but without the formality. A hotel that has real soul, an amazing atmosphere and great team of staff that are all about hugs and hospitality.
At Urban Beach, we think people should be able to sleep in comfy rooms, enjoy delicious, but unpretentious local and seasonal food, and only the finest quality beverages in our bar.
We think when you go away, or go out for food and drink, you should feel really relaxed. We believe in nice wine, but don’t think you need to have a masters in grape varieties to justify your enjoyment. We believe in treating our customers like our friends, with morals, and ethics. We believe in working hard, and being rewarded for doing so. We believe you need to feel the sand between your toes, and the waves tickling your feet, and the warmth of the sun on your face.
Food
Food at the Urban Beach is served in our ground floor bar and bistro. Our food is local, seasonal and ethically sourced and made with love. By morning: a relaxing space to enjoy breakfast whilst reading the daily delivered papers. By evening: a busting bar and bistro popular with locals and guests alike sitting up to 120 people.
It’s worth noting that we do close the bistro and bar at 11pm to both residents and non residents to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep from this time for all our rooms. We hope this balances our ‘hotel / bar’ double life correctly. Many of the bars and clubs in the town centre are open until four am should you be looking for later facilities. You can obviously come and go from the hotel as you please.
What is there to do?
We are lucky to be situated in the beautiful town of Bournemouth, five minutes from Boscombe pier and two minutes from the O2 Academy. You can play mini golf, go for a swim, visit our little sister restaurant Urban Reef... or take a five minutes on the land train into Bournemouth town centre for the aquarium, zip line, cinema and all sorts of epic things. We even have a handy widget on our site so you can see what’s on.
When are we open?
We’re open every day of the year (yes, even Christmas Day) to offer you a place to rest your head, nourish the body, share good times and embrace life. Visit our website to check out availability. We’ve got the beach by our side, and hugs in our hearts. We look forward to welcoming you x
