The Home of Southbourne Ales

This Victorian themed brewery and taproom was voted Dorset's best brewer in 2018. The taproom and visitors centre are open daily with brewery tours, live music and multi award winning ales.

Situated just half a mile from either Bournemouth Pier or Square the visitors centre has excellent reviews on the tours which run hourly 12 noon till 5pm. The tours starts in the brewery's own cinema and provides a guide to the history of beer, Southbourne Ales story, learning about the raw materials, followed by looking at the brewery plant and discovering how beer is made, culminating in a tutored tasting of some of the draught delights in the taproom.

This friendly brewery tap has a feel for the old times with plenty of chance for striking up a conversation or singing along to some great local acts at the weekends.

Our relaxed yet raucous atmosphere and is great for adults of all ages, with a wide variety of drinks  served, suitable to everyone's taste. The brewery tap has disabled access and toilets and staff are happy to tailor tours to the individuals needs.

Children are permitted on the tours with suitable non alcoholic samples available during the tasting in the visitors centre.

The visitors centre is also available for private functions.

There is also a monthly quiz on the last Wednesday of every month at 20:00.

Poole Hill Brewery is located on Poole Hill near next to Canvas and opposite Koh Thai Tapas, there are bus stops located within minutes and there are taxis outside during the evening. There is parking in car parks within a 5 minute walk.
