Beautiful Visions - Photography by Lynne Fochs of Christchurch
About Us
The next exhibition at the Regent Centre, features the work of Christchurch photographer, Lynne Fochs. This is her second photographic exhibition at the Regent and it runs from Saturday 10 – Friday 30 November and is entitled “Beautiful Visions”
Lynne is a self- taught photographer, having picked up the camera for the first time only four years ago. It all started for Lynne with one of those spur of the moment trips, which in her case was to the Bournemouth beaches. Lynne decided to combine the trip out with her daughter with a little bit of creativity. With the benefit of the perfect golden lighting from the sun setting on the beach, Lynne took her first beautiful picture of a heart nestled between the stones.
Lynne liked the idea of conceptual pieces and experimented with more ideas, which resulted in some of her more ethereal pictures, such as the picture of angels taken in the sea at Southbourne and amongst the flowers at Hengistbury Head.
Being fortunate enough to live in a beautiful place like Christchurch, where there are so many photographic opportunities, some of the best photographs often come where the subject is not planned, so Lynne always has that camera at the ready! A walk around the Quay one windy wet day, resulted in a lovely picture of a very inquisitive little duck. Another walk to Mudeford Quay resulted in an interesting picture looking through some stacked up fishing nets.
This year’s Exhibition at the Regent will feature some very large panoramas of the local area including Mudeford Spit together with a number of pictures that Lynne has produced on canvas frames.
Lynne is a member of CADArts (Christchurch & District Arts Council) and has exhibited her pictures at the Hayloft Gallery in Wick Lane, Christchurch. She has also exhibited at the CADArts Christmas Fayre. More recently, Lynne has shown her work at The Gallery Upstairs at Upton Country Park Poole and participated in the Mudeford Arts event in the summer as well as exhibiting at Highcliffe Castle and The Priory.
