Fisherman's Walk Cliff Lift
Following the latest government advice on social distancing and avoiding public gatherings, BCP Council is taking the sensible precaution to protect the public by reducing some non-essential council services, therefore the Cliff Lift is closed until further notice. A full list of BCP Council service closures can be found here.
Bournemouth’s two cliff lifts operate every day between Easter and the end of October.
They offer easy access from the beach to the cliff tops as well as stunning views of the coast. Running on tracks, the cliff lifts are actually classed as light railways so jump on board for the most unusual railway journey of your life. The Fisherman’s Walk Cliff Lift, built in 1935, links the beach with a great cliff top café and children’s play area.
