About Us
Join us for festive fun at Kingston Lacy, with a different experience by day and by night. Whichever you choose, it's the perfect way to find your seasonal spirit.
Bring everyone together to create magical memories: join a craft workshop, pause for a warming hot chocolate with friends or just admire the twinkling lights.
During the day, Christmas folklore from around the world comes to Kingston Lacy this December, with a multitude of Christmas decorations that share different traditions. Entry is free for members.
In the house
Each room in the house will represent a different story, bringing the world to our doorstep as we celebrate tales that have been told for centuries.
Discover Colombia's Day of Little Candles in the Library, the tale behind the perennially popular carol 'Silent Night' in the Drawing Room, and the magical Legend of the Christmas Spider, an Eastern European folk tale popular in Ukraine in the Dining Room.
The Spanish Room will highlight the story of the Three Kings, based on the Spanish Fiesta de los Reyes, and the staircase will be decorated with shoes, explaining the Icelandic tradition of children putting shoes in their windows to receive sweets (or rotting potatoes, depending on how well the child has behaved!).
In the evening, the magic of our illuminated trail is back. Over a million twinkling lights and seasonal sounds will fill the air with festive fun. Look forward to some time together with friends and family as you discover sparkling tunnels of light, then walk under giant baubles and beneath glistening trees drenched in jewel-like colour. For a moment of reflection pause at mesmerising flickering flames in the fire garden, gaze at the larger-than-life illuminations and, to make a moment to remember, don't forget to glimpse Father Christmas along the way.
