On 26th November the Metropole Street Market is returning with a steampunk inspired Christmas market

After two successful events attracting a total of over 20,000 visitors to Lansdowne, Metropole Market organisers have announced a spectacular steampunk theme for their third free to attend event in the series of quintessentially eccentric markets.

The ‘Alternative Christmas Fayre’ will bring the best of steampunk inspired products and entertainment in a Christmas setting. In line with the steampunk theme, which is a subgenre of science fiction and fantasy, market-goers can expect Victorian looking outfits, technological aesthetics and modern technologies re-imagined. November’s market will be all about creativity and imagination, in a festive setting.

Unique and spectacular, the Christmas market will welcome more trade stalls, more entertainers and more attendees than before.  Street Comedy, Mother Ukers, Ant Lewis and Si Genaro are among the popular acts confirmed to be returning for the third Metropole Street Market. There will also be new names performing at the Alternative Christmas Fayre including JunNK, an award-winning percussion act; Sweetchunks, a steampunk band; Atlantico; and Jemma Davies.

Bournemouth Metropole Market will have its ‘Alternative Christmas Fayre’ on 26th November, on Holdenhurst Road, Lasdowne, between 10.00 and 16.00.

The series of quintessentially eccentric street markets will end with December’s market ‘Christmas Candyland’, on 17th December.
