Solomon is on a rusty boat on an English canal. He is good at drinking and shirking responsibility. He smells like a derelict library. Solomon is the father of Mary’s baby though he doesn’t know it yet. 

What will he do when he finds out? What kind of man will he become. The good man, the responsible one, stable and safe? The bad man, the deadbeat, the shirker, the rebel, the git. He goes on a musical journey through the canals of England to find the truth about men so he can try and become one. 

A git or a god. A saint or a sod. What is the truth about men. The Truth About Men is a one man musical journey to find out what it takes to be a man in the modern age. 

Scott Lavene is a musician and performer from Essex. He has had his music played by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6music, and Geoff Lloyd on Absolute Radio where he was record of the week. His first one man show, Narcissism, The Musical, sold out at The Shelley Theatre in Bournemouth and he is currently finishing off his first novel. He performed in a critically acclaimed production The Vodka Hunters, written and performed by outsider artists and directed by writer, Nell Leyshon.
