About Us
Whether you’re looking for monsters of rock and pop, creepy crawlies, clowns, puppets or dinosaur roars, Poole Harbour Festival takes ‘something for everyone’ to the next level.
With its stunning shoreline location, warm welcome and inclusive atmosphere, it’s no wonder it has become the party of the year for its small army of family regulars who travel from near and far to enjoy the weekend.
“The line up attracts thousands of live music fans, but just as important to us are the hundreds of families who rely on us to provide top children’s entertainment – and lots of it – in a safe and secure environment,” says festival organiser Ben Dyas.
A busy schedule of free children's entertainment is kept up all weekend with the irrepressible Jules the Entertainer getting the show on the road on Friday.
Saturday and Sunday will be absolutely roar-some as Poole Harbour Festival welcomes back the Amazing Dinosaur Shows for daily high noon appointments with ferocious T Rexes Bruno and Baxter, Zuki the Stegosaurus, Spike the Spinosaurus and all their prehistoric party starters.
What’s more, the popular free circus shows are back this year as well.
Keeping the laughter flowing on Saturday there’s the brilliant Jamie Jigsaw with mix of high energy games, balloon modelling and hilarious stunt, as well as the incredible Mad4Animals meet and greet (or should that be meat and creep?) shows.
Sunday sees the return of Jamie Jambo, the double Primary Times Reader Star Award winner who manages to incorporate magic, comedy, juggling, unicycling and puppetry into his show. Also on the bill is the phenomenal Krazy Kev, whose comedy magic never fails to win over the crowds.
Poole Harbour Festival is headlined by Razorlight, The Coral and Reef with sets from The South, Toploader and Artful Dodger. The dance tent stars Lisa Lashes, Ultrabeat, Jaguar Skills and Seb Fontaine; while the popular tributes bill include shows dedicated to Queen, Madness, Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse and. For the first time, Fleetwood Mac.
With no less than 50 acts across four stages, the festival also showcases the cream of music talent from the BCP region with Mother Ukers, Sixteen String Jack, Blackwater County and singer songwriter Gaz Brookfield sure to provide plenty of highlights.
Poole Harbour Festival opens at 5pm on Friday, noon on Saturday and 11am on Sunday, closing at 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.
