Poole based inspirational Artist Harriet Sheppard invites you to join friends and art lovers to enjoy her PAUSE exhibition. Here, you can take time out to view her captivating work together with a range of sensory and immersive experiences.

The concept of PAUSE originates from Harriet's observation of the world around her and particularly of those people close to her who were moving too fast, chasing life without ever catching up and having no time to PAUSE and discover themselves. The intimate exhibition space will offer those who would benefit from a PAUSE: the time and opportunity to do just that. PAUSE to interact with the art work on display, absorbing the positive energy emerging from each canvass and the thought provoking emotions that they trigger. PAUSE with the freedom to explore these feelings and emotions and to sit quietly with those thoughts, away from everyday life.

Harriet quotes "PAUSE derived from the feeling of life returning to a fast-moving rip-tide, sweeping us along and losing control of our own destiny. During lockdown many of us made a personal resolution not to get caught back up in that rip-tide of life. Yet new pressures beyond our control are pushing us back towards this unhealthy situation. The space created at Thrive not only invites you to enjoy the thought provoking artwork but also an opportunity to take 'time out' for yourselves. PAUSE, close your eyes and breathe slowly and deeply, taking in the aromatic, fragrant scents which will enable you to relax and experience that often elusive sense of well-being. PAUSE upon the soft cushions, the perfect place to enjoy the soothing music enhancing your personal experience. Thrive Health & Wellness, having recently launched a community space for holistic wellbeing classes and therapies and this seemed the perfect place to birth my inspiration, expressed through my art. With a focus on everything connected with mind, body and soul and already supporting local artists, Thrive Health & Wellness are the perfect host for my soul inspired work. I look forward to meeting some of you and sharing this unique experience together.

The exhibition will be open from Friday 3rd March to Saturday 4th April, 11am – 6pm daily, with Harriet being in attendance between 12am and 3pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the duration.
