Poole’s summer of celebration continues with the first 3 Acres Summer Gathering on Ashley Cross Green over August Bank Holiday weekend.
The two-day feast of live music is headlined by hit making singer songwriters:
- Finley Quaye and Mark Morriss from Britpop hitmakers the Bluetones
- With the Ed Sheeran Experience tribute
- A support bill drawn the area’s best local bands including rockers Saints of Sin, ska favourites Ratrace, the big vocals of Chris Payn, hip hop fusionists Numb and popular party starters The Jimmy Hillbillies.
Alongside the quality live music enjoy:
- Mouth watering street food from around the world
- A full programme of children’s entertainment for young ones including the brilliant Mad For Animals show, comic magician Count Backwards, Jules the Entertainer and Jamie Jambo.
- Meanwhile, Pimm's, gin and Prosecco bars and plenty of craft beer, ciders and real ales will keep the party swinging.
Ashley Cross Green was originally known as Three Acres Field and was acquired by the local authority as open pasture in the 1880s as part of a land swap with the Canford Estate.
