Artist Showdown launches in Bournemouth: A new monthly live street art competition hosted by Asuek Artwork and The Raw Wall Collective.A bold new live art event is coming to Bournemouth, as Artist Showdown launches at The Brass Haus. Blending live street art, community culture, and charitable giving, the high-energy competition promises to become a standout fixture in the town’s creative calendar.Hosted by Asuek Artwork in collaboration with The Raw Wall Collective, Artist Showdown will see two street artists go head-to-head each month, while our resident DJ Adam Hassan spins the tunes, creating original works live in front of a crowd. With the pressure on and the audience watching every brushstroke and spray, the artists will battle it out to impress attendees and secure their place in the grand final later in the year.The competition will take place on the first Wednesday of every month, running through to May before taking a summer break. The event will then return in October for the semi-final and final rounds, culminating in the crowning of the overall Artist Showdown Champion. In true showdown style, the winner won’t just take the title — they’ll take home an actual crown.Designed to celebrate grassroots creativity and provide a platform for emerging and established street artists alike, Artist Showdown offers something unique for Bournemouth’s cultural scene. By bringing live street art into a public venue, the event gives audiences the rare opportunity to experience the creative process up close — from blank canvas to finished piece — in a lively, social setting.Beyond the competition, Artist Showdown is rooted in social impact. Every artwork created during the events will be made available through a silent auction on the night, with 100% of proceeds donated to Social Bite. Entry to the event is completely free, ensuring accessibility for all, with voluntary donations to Social Bite welcomed throughout the evening.Social Bite is a movement to end homelessness. They are a charity and social business providing homes, jobs, food and support to empower people to transform their own lives. By partnering with Social Bite, Artist Showdown aims to harness the power of art and community to drive meaningful change.Organisers hope the event will not only showcase local talent but also strengthen connections within Bournemouth’s creative community.
