About
Following the latest government advice and national lockdown from 4th January 2021, the Land Train will be closed until further notice. A full list of BCP Council service closures can be found here.
Jump aboard one of our famous land trains, sit back and enjoy the seafront scenery as we sweep you along the Promenade. You can travel from Bournemouth Pier West to Branksome Chine, or from Bournemouth Pier East as far as Manor Steps and the Bournemouth Beach Lodges, returning via Boscombe Precint and Gardens over the East Overcliff.
Prices start from as little as £3.30 per adult for one journey, unlimited travel all day for only £6.20 per person, or £20 for a family ticket. See train stops for times and details. Pay once you board the train. Trains feature accessible facilities for wheelchair users. One carer travelling with a disabled passenger can travel for FREE as do children under 5.
The brightly coloured fleet made up of five trains includes Flotsam and Jetsam, extends West along the seafront into Poole running from Bournemouth Pier to Branksome Chine, taking in Alum Chine and both Durley and Middle Chine – the perfect way to get around on the seafront! Or, in the other direction, the land trains run West from Bournemouth to Boscombe Pier, the Beach Lodges and onto Boscombe Chine Gardens and Boscombe High Street.
Trains run daily from April to October and during school holidays as well as on weekends throughout the winter, subject to weather conditions.
