Following a spectacular start to the summer heatwave, Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole experienced one of the busiest and most vibrant bank holiday weekends of the year so far.
With tens of thousands of visitors flocking to the region to enjoy major events like the Bournemouth 7s Festival and the Christchurch Food Festival, alongside 15 miles of award-winning beaches, the local tourism and hospitality sectors have seen a fantastic early-season boost.
Speaking on the success of the weekend, a spokesperson for Bournemouth & Poole Tourism said:
"The start of this heatwave brought incredible energy to Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole this May bank holiday. Visitors love that here, you can set your own pace. Whether soaking up the buzz of the Bournemouth 7s, enjoying the Christchurch Food Festival, or unwinding on our 15 miles of award-winning beaches, the atmosphere was phenomenal. It’s fantastic seeing our venues packed and so many guests choosing to check in and chill out at our brilliant hotels, giving local tourism a huge boost as summer begins."
