Over the past few months, the area has hosted some incredibly exciting projects, bringing a wonderful buzz to the coast. Keep your eyes peeled for familiar sights in upcoming streaming hits. The breathtaking grounds of Highcliffe Castle recently welcomed Hollywood star Ben Stiller for a new Netflix production. Over in Poole, Lake Pier in Hamworthy provided the perfect nautical backdrop for a boating scene in a major new show about the Kennedy political dynasty starring Michael Fassbender. Even the beautiful stretches of Southbourne Beach have seen action as a filming location for another highly anticipated Netflix release.

These world class productions are fantastic news for the local area. Recent filming has generated an estimated £225,125 for the local economy, directly supporting our brilliant hotels, fantastic restaurants, transport services and hardworking local businesses.

Councillor Richard Herrett, cabinet member for destination, leisure, and commercial operations at BCP Council, highlighted that our miles of sandy beaches, stunning coastline, and historic buildings offer a wealth of possibilities for film and TV projects. Filming is already bringing people to the area, and it is expected to attract even more visitors in the future as fans seek out the stunning locations featured on screen.
