Day 1 – AM: Your creative exploration begins in the town's distinct "villages." Spend the morning browsing the independent boutiques, vintage stores, and artisan coffee shops of The Triangle and the nearby, more affluent, Westbourne. Enjoy lunch at one of the many independent cafés and restaurants in Westbourne, soaking up the local atmosphere.

Day 1 – PM (Evening): For the evening, head to the bohemian suburb of Boscombe. After dinner at an independent restaurant, catch a gig at Chaplin's & The Cellar Bar. This award-winning, quirky venue is a cornerstone of the local music scene.

Day 1 – PM (Afternoon): In the afternoon, take a walk through the Upper Gardens with a specific mission: to discover the Upside Gallery. This innovative outdoor art project has transformed a series of walls into a dynamic, open-air gallery showcasing large-scale murals by talented street artists. If your visit coincides with a market day, be sure to visit the South Coast Makers Market or the Westover Art and Makers Market to browse handmade goods from local artisans.

Day 2: Artisan Skills & Performing Arts

Day 2 – AM: Dedicate the morning to learning a new skill by pre-booking an artisan workshop. The Arts University Bournemouth offers a range of short courses and one-day workshops through its Saturday Art School, open to the public. Other local studios also offer classes in crafts like pottery or printmaking.

Day 2 – PM (Afternoon): After a relaxed lunch at a venue like the plant-filled Urban Garden located on the edge of the lower gardens in the town centre, immerse yourself in contemporary performance. Pavilion Dance South West, located next to the main Pavilion Theatre, presents a year-round programme of innovative and inspiring dance performances.

Day 2 – PM (Evening): Conclude your creative retreat with a final dinner and a unique cinematic experience. Seek out a screening at the community-led B.A.D. Cinema in Boscombe, or for a truly memorable end to the trip, find a showing at what is reputedly the UK's smallest cinema, the Bournemouth Colosseum Cinema & Bar, a hidden gem for film lovers in Westbourne.
