2 Airship Orchestra

This impressive tribe of otherworldly characters has arrived in the Triangle, Bournemouth and is almost uniquely indescribable! 16 inflatable shapes - some up to six metres - come together with mesmerising, fantastical lights and sounds extending over a 500 square metre area. With glowing skin and voices like stardust, head inside the formation to bathe in volumetric sound and rhythmic light pulsation! Airship Orchestra is free and it’s here to wow adults and children until 9 October 2022.

3 See a show with friends

Both the Bournemouth International Centre and the Pavilion are ready to welcome you to their autumn programme. From comedy to dance to well-known bands, tributes and music from all eras from the 60s to the 80s and much more. If you're having a weekend break by the sea, treat yourself to an evening of fun, laughter or song.

4 Arts by the Sea Festival

Bournemouth is an eventful destination all year round and as autumn arrives, so does this incredible festival. Prepare to be amazed from 30 September until 2 October and expect the unexpected. From lights to music, dance, theatre and spectacles, find it all in this year’s programme that explores the theme of PLAY.

5 Bracing sea walks

Wrap up warm, pick up a delicious pumpkin spiced latte or hot chocolate and step out for some fresh air. Grab the family, your friends or your pet pooch and marvel as the waves crash onto the beach. With the sun on your face, and a warm scarf there’s hardly ever a day that was not made better by a brisk stroll by the sea.
