Make memories at the Russell-Cotes this summer as you enjoy our themed activities – Amazing Animals and Brilliant Botanicals!

19 July – 31 August

Inspired by our May Morris exhibition our summer holiday activities are all themed around animals, plants and nature.

Everyday

House Trail: Follow our nature themed trail around the house, free of charge, admission ticket required for historic house.
Garden Trail: Take part in the garden scavenger hunt, free of charge.
Garden Games: Play some traditional garden games (weather dependent), free of charge.

We will also have the following activities on different days;

Tour Tuesdays

Join in with our family friendly animal safari tour, at 11am each Tuesday.
Tour free of charge,  admission ticket required.

Workshop Wednesdays

On Wednesdays we’ll be running printing workshops, suitable for children aged 7 – 12.
£9 per child*
All children must be accompanied by an adult, the accompanying grown up is welcome to join in with the workshop.

Aprons will be provided but please dress for mess and bring a bag to take your creations home with you.
*Accompanying adults do not need to purchase their own workshop ticket, please just purchase a ticket for the participating children.

Tactile Thursdays

Whilst we normally ask people not to touch when they visit the museum, on Thursdays between 10am – 12pm you can visit the object handling table to discover more about selected museum objects and have the chance to touch and handle them.
Free of charge, admission ticket required.

Fun Fridays

On Fridays you’ll find a some self-led activity stations for you to stop at as you explore the museum including dressing up, jigsaws and selfie stations.
Free of charge, admission ticket required.

Safari Saturdays and Sundays

Pick up a copy of our self-led safari trail and have fun animal spotting as you explore the museum. Free of charge, admission ticket required.
