A Love Letter to The Land - Art Exhibiton and Pop-up shop

About

A Love Letter to the Land is a collection of paintings born out of my love for my home near Hengistbury Head and the extraordinary coastline of Dorset and the surrounding areas.

I moved to Dorset from London in 2025 and it's hard to put into words what this place has given me. With every walk along the beach, every glimpse of the vastness of the ocean, I feel my chest expand. A nervous system frayed by years of complex illness and the intensity of city life has finally had the chance to settle. I found friendship here, purpose and community. I truly fell in love with where I live.

This collection is my visual love letter to the place that has given me so much.

Through more than 30 original paintings, I hope to share something of the peace, wonder and sense of belonging I have found here. The collection features some of the places that have become special to me and that I’m sure have a place in many other people’s stories as well, including Hengistbury Head, Mudeford Spit, Old Harry’s Rocks, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.

These paintings are my way of celebrating the beauty of this extraordinary coastline and thanking it for the sense of peace and belonging I've found here.

There is also a pop-up shop with gifts and souvenirs I have created from the artwork. A collection of cards, prints, magnets, Christmas decorations and calendar which make a perfect way to take a piece of beautiful artwork home or gift it to someone who loves Dorset as much as I do.

The exhibition is held upstairs in the Visitor Centre's beautiful gallery, a converted barn in a peaceful setting at Hengistbury Head. Whether you are visiting specifically to see the exhibition or simply stopping by during a walk, I hope you will take a moment to come upstairs, explore the paintings and experience this very personal celebration of a place I now feel incredibly lucky to call home.
