Children's Pottery Workshop

About Us

Hand build and glaze your own ceramic Gonk or Fairy Toadstool Garden decoration in this special themed workshop, with professional ceramist Maisie from The Touring Potter.

Your decoration will be taken away to be fired after the workshop, and will be available to collect from the museum at a later date. Maisie will contact everyone when they are ready to collect. They will not be ready in time for Halloween, but will make great Autumnal or Christmas gifts and decorations.

The workshop is designed for children aged 7+, but younger children are welcome, however, the activity is not suitable for children under 3.

Children aged 10 years and over don't need to be accompanied if able and confident to follow instructions use the tools provided. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults are free but require a ticket. Adults are welcome to buy a ticket to take part in the making.
