If you’re looking for free, friendly and fun things to do, look no further than your local libraries in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
All 24 libraries have a packed programme of events and activities for adults, children and families, and we’d love you to join us.
For your little ones, Wriggle & Rhyme is the perfect introduction to stories, rhymes and songs – and these weekly sessions are great for parents to meet and have a chat too. Pre-schoolers will love listening to stories at Toddler Time and making some simple crafts.
Our annual Summer Reading Challenge invites children aged 4-11 to read 6 books during the summer holidays, collecting rewards along the way and a medal and certificate at the end. Throughout the holidays you can join in with our special themed activities.
Libraries wouldn’t be libraries without reading groups – come along to talk about this month’s book, or join a weekly shared reading group to read short stories and poems together and chat about what you’ve been reading. We’ve also got groups for scrabble, knitting, board games, crosswords, colouring and crafts – whatever you’re interested in, we’ll find other people to join you.
There are regular talks, author events and music recitals – keep scrolling to find out more and we look forward to seeing you in libraries soon.
You can also download the BCP libraries events leaflet for more information.
