About Us

The Stour Valley Way is a 64 mile, long distance walk that follows the River Stour from its source at Stourhead in Wiltshire to the point where it flows into the sea from Christchurch Harbour in Dorset.

In Dorset it passes Sturminster Newton, Wimborne Minster, Ferndown, Bournemouth and Christchurch on its way down towards the coast.

To follow the route look out for the signposts with the Kingfisher logo. The trail route is also mapped on the following Ordnance Survey maps: Explorer 142 Shepton Mallet & Mendip Hills East, Explorer 129 Yeovil & Sherborne, Exploer 118 Shaftesbury & Cranborne Chase, Explorer 117 Cerne Abbas & Bere Regis and Explorer 22 New Forest.
