Why not spend your summer holidays building sandcastles on beautiful golden sands, and enjoying the host of family entertainment Bournemouth has to offer?
Have fun on a Famous Five type adventure around Dorset. The Famous Five Adventure Trail takes you to some of Enid Blyton’s favourite places in Dorset, and discover some of the locations for her globally popular books.
Enjoy popular children’s entertainment at the Kids Fun Festival, guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained. There’ll be daily activities from the 30 July to 26 August, between 11am and 5pm.
Join in the Bournemouth Family Funday at Meyrick Park on Thursday 26 July where they’ll have great entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Expect to see a host of activities around Bournemouth between the 30 July and 5 August for Bournemouth Carnival Week. Enter sandcastle competitions, watch dance performances on the Pier Approach or enjoy band performances in the Lower Gardens.
Watch Bournemouth’s Lower Gardens become magically enchanted on the 1, 8, 15 and 22 August. Candlelight Nights sees hundreds of lit tea lights illuminate the gardens - one of Bournemouth’s oldest traditions. Visitors are invited to take part, by assisting with the lighting of the candles at dusk.
Experience the thrill of the UK’s largest FREE aviation event, the Bournemouth Air Festival. Returning for its fifth year in 2012. Make sure you don’t miss stunning aerobatic displays and exciting evening entertainment between the 30 August and 2 September.
The Friday Family Fiestas will also be returning this summer. There’ll be fun family entertainment throughout the Lower Gardens and seafront with a spectacular firework finale.
Moving into its ninth year is the Bournemouth Thai Summer Festival on the 5 August at King’s Park in Boscombe. Enjoy traditional Thai classical dancing, authentic Thai food and souvenirs, Thai Massage, Thai Fruits Carving and much more.
