The Country House hotel overlooking the sea.
Looking out across the glittering clear waters of the bay, stretching from the Needles on the Isle of Wight to the east across to the giant chalk cliffs of Old Harry Rocks to the west and the Purbeck Hills of Hardy’s Wessex beyond, Hotel Miramar occupies one of the most spectacular vantage points in Bournemouth.Sympathetic to its Edwardian origins, Hotel Miramar is the epitome of an English Country House with its rambling facade of Roman inspired pillars and curved balconies which overlook the terraces and sweeping lawns that appear to stretch down to the waters edge. A Spectacular Vantage Point We are delighted to welcome you to Hotel Miramar where guests quickly become good friends to the many long standing staff, whose experience and care will ensure that your stay will be remembered
with fondness and affection as well as giving a fervent wish to return and experience once again, the magic that is ‘Hotel Miramar’ Inside the splendour continues - the clean lines and perfect angles of the fine architecture has lost nothing of its original character, retaining both the charm and grace of Edwardian style. The tranquil atmosphere exudes a serenity and warmth that immediately transports one to an era far from the hustle and bustle of modern-day life and
total relaxation is the only option. Sumptuously furnished and richly decorated in the Edwardian style, the main lounge invites both relaxation and lively conversation - the perfect place to take tea and plan expeditions to the many attractions that Bournemouth has to offer or as the sun goes down over the Purbeck Hills to enjoy a specially created cocktail before dinner to the sounds of mellow piano playing, accompanied by the lapping of the waves at the waters edge.
The recently completed refurbishment programme has given the Hotel Miramar a symmetry to the magnificent front facade that overlooks the bay from the Needles in the east to Old Harry Rocks and the Purbeck Hills beyond, to the west. In turn, the Hotel now benefits from new large bays to both the restaurant and the lounge as well as extensions to the ground floor terraces and the balcony terraces to some of the bedrooms. Many more guests can now enjoy stunning views from the south facing sunny terraces across lawns and gardens to the deep blue sea beyond while enjoying fine food and drinks, pausing only to watch the many craft that stir the waters of the bay.
