Public Transport Directions

Morebus service No 8 is a very regular service that stops at the main entrance to Upton Country Park, and at the Blandford Road pedestrian entrance – timetables at morebus.co.uk

Morebus service No 10 and the Purbeck Breezer Route 40 (Swanage to Poole) run all year and stop at the Upton Country Park entrance.

First Group operate a No X54 service between Weymouth and Poole that stops about 1 mile away, at the Triangle Shops, Upton (Dorchester Road) – timetable at firstgroup.com

The nearest train station is Hamworthy, which is served by South Western Railway.

Once you exit Hamworthy, simply head north onto Blandford Road, then start along the Grove Wood Trail. Keep following this along and you'll soon reach the centre of the Park. It takes about 22 minutes in total.

There is an off-road cycling & walking route that starts at the large ASDA in Poole. It's a picturesque, mainly flat route that takes 15-20 minutes to ride, or 50 minutes to walk.

The Poole Heritage Cycle Route is a circular 7.5 mile route between Upton Country Park and Poole Old Town that takes in The Quay and points of historical interest. Without stops the trail is around a one hour cycle, or a 3 hour walk.
