South Coast Makers Market
South Coast Makers Market happens on the 1st Saturday of each month at The Loading Bay, Avenue Lane, Bournemouth, BH2 5LS from 11am to 4pm with free entry!
This Spring that means Saturday 7th March, 4th April + 2nd May.
Our market features a curated mix of 40 artists, designers, foodies + local Dorset based businesses which all focus on being handmade, sustainable, independent creatives!
At each market there’s always great coffee by Bad Hand Coffee, fresh bread from Bakehouse24 plus an ever-changing mix of Makers who host the pop up café, craft beer, vegan and street food alongside workshops, free children’s craft + play table and a good cause stall.
We’re delighted to have Lush UK coming to all our Spring market dates to run free cosmetic making workshops. These are always very popular so make sure you arrive early!
We also run the Keep it LOCAL members card, rewarding shoppers with discounts and offers from independent Dorset businesses. Read all about it on our website here.
In 2019 South Coast Makers Market was awarded ‘Plastic Free Champion Status’ by Surfers Against Sewage and was shortlisted in the national Mollie Makes Awards for Handmade Champion.
As well as our monthly market at The Loading Bay we also host pop up markets at other locations including Arts by the Sea Festival + Bournemouth Emerging Arts Festival. Keep an eye on our social media pages (@southcoastmakersmarket) which we keep updated with all our news!
South Coast Makers Market is independent and family run. We are Makers + set it up in 2018 as we wanted to trade at a market which focuses on celebrating and championing the thriving Maker scene in Dorset.
