Q) How do I book an activity?
Step-by-Step guide
A) Search through the site and select the activities you would like to purchase by clicking on them individually. Select the date that you are wanting to book by clicking on the highlighted dates available. Indicate the quantity of your order and then click on the shopping cart. If you make a mistake or have selected the wrong quantity click the delete box and your shopping cart will empty the last item selected. Once you have finished selecting the activities you want to purchase click on the ‘Book’ button to proceed to the next stage. You will then be asked to fill out your personal details and enter your credit card details.
Once these details have been entered you will receive a confirmation page complete with a unique reference number on the screen and a confirmation email. Please print either of these out to retain as your e-ticket. You are now free to exit the page or return to the main website.
Q) Can I change my ABC ticket?
A) If you wish to amend your booking at any time, you must contact the Activity Provider direct. Their contact details will be on your ticket. The Activity Provider will make the changes to your booking at their own discretion. If no suitable amendment can be achieved you are advised to follow procedures under the cancellation conditions.
Q) Can I give my ABC ticket to someone else?
A) Yes, but you must contact the Activity Provider to notify them of the change of name on the ticket. Their contact details will be on your ticket.
Q) I’ve lost my ticket, am I able to get another one?
A) Yes - just print off your confirmation email, which was sent to you after you made the booking.
Q) Will my activity/experience go ahead in bad weather?
A) Some activities featured are weather dependent. We advise you to ring ahead and check with the Activity Provider before starting your journey. If your activity is cancelled because of the weather, a re-booking will be offered but remains subject to weather conditions.
Q) I haven’t received an on-screen confirmation on completion of my booking. What should I do?
A) Please call our Activity Booking Centre team on 0845 051 1700, 09.30am– 17.30pm weekdays.
Q) Are there any Restrictions
A) All tickets are subject to the Consumer Terms and Conditions policy.
Q) How much will it cost me?
A) ABC is a free booking service. The only cost involved is the cost of payment for the activity you have booked. The price you pay will be the same price you would pay if you purchased a ticket on the day at the activity, if not cheaper!
Q) What happens to my Personal Information?
A)You can be rest assured that your personal data is safe at Bournemouth Tourism.
We will only use it to send you our monthly e-newsletter and yearly brochure. If you would like to opt-out of our mailing list please email us at any point and you will be removed from our database immediately. We will never disclose your personal details to a third party under any circumstances.
Q) What payment types do you accept?
A)You can book an activity online and over the telephone with all major debit cards as well as any VISA credit card. ABC regrets that we are unable to except payment by American Express or Diners Club Cards.
You can buy your ABC experience at the Visitor Information Bureau in person and pay with cash, cheque (made payable to Bournemouth Borough Council) or via debit or visa credit cards.
Q) What protection is taken to safe guard my financial details?
A) Bournemouth Tourism is totally committed to protecting the safety of your credit card details.
The Activity Booking Centre website uses the Thawte Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to safe guard your individual details. Encryption converts personal details into secret code, which is then sent over the Internet. All you need to do is sit back and wait for your confirmation email

Q) What is the Activity Booking Centre?
A) The Activity Booking Centre (ABC) is a free booking service, giving inspirational ideas of what to do while on holiday in the area It enables consumers to book a variety of different activities on-line, over the phone or face to face at the Visitor Information Bureau.
Q) Who operates ABC?
A) Bournemouth Tourism operates ABC, which is a department of Bournemouth Borough Council.
Q) Why the name ABC?
A) ABC is the three starting letters of the title Activity Booking Centre. The scheme has been designed with simplicity in mind and ABC represents this hence the slogan; “ It’s as easy as A, B, C”
Q) How can I get a copy of latest leaflet?
A) You can pick up or phone in and request a free copy of the leaflet from the Visitor Information Bureau in Bournemouth
In addition to this the ABC leaflet is stocked in over 80 Resort Literature Racks around the town in hotels and places of public interest.
