Sommelier Shaun has worked with some of the industry’s most prestigious national and international restaurateurs, including posts as: Wine Manager at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, Assistant Head Sommelier at the Chewton Glen Hotel and most recently Restaurant Manager and Head Sommelier at the Grand Lisboa Hotel in China - renowned to have the best wine list in Asia with over 3500 selections!

His move is part of the group’s strategy to source the finest wine offerings, create an accessible drinks list and provide unrivalled accompaniments to its fresh, seasonal dishes.

Shaun says: “I’m looking forward to sharing my passion for wine with our front of house teams across all three brands. Part of my strategy will be to source an even greater number of wine types, styles and varieties to excite and stimulate the palette and compliment the food”.

In addition to a new Sommelier, for the restaurant portfolio The Print Room has bought ‘An Evening of Opera’ to enhance the town’s cultural calendar. More than 100 diners enjoyed the tremendous debut last month and plans are now underway to make this a quarterly event.

Run in association with the internationally celebrated Dorset Opera, vocal talent Soprano, Melanie Lodge said; “The response we received was tremendous and the venue really lent a certain element of drama. We were able to get close to an audience who haven’t perhaps experienced opera before but soon recognised songs they knew and loved!”

Nick Warner, Operations Manager at The Print Room, says: “This was a first not just for us, but also for Dorset Opera who, up until now, haven’t presented their singers in a dining environment. To be able to offer something completely new to our diners is superb!”
