The national competition came with a first prize of 5 nights’ accommodation and food at Best Western The Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth. Also included in the package was three days aboard a luxury motor cruiser, supplied by Superhawk Marine Charter Boats.

The campaign, by Bournemouth Tourism, involved the distribution of 250,000 interactive CDs to targeted households up and down the country to promote and generate more interest in the resort. As an incentive to go online and find out about the town, the interactive CD included a free prize-draw for one lucky household owner. The lucky winners were Robin and Tinta Leach from Amersham in Buckinghamshire.

Speaking about their prize competition winner Robin Leach said, “Finding out we had won Bournemouth Tourism’s competition was a delightful surprise. We have always loved this part of the world and think that Bournemouth is a super resort. We are very impressed with our room at The Connaught Hotel and the use of the Sunseeker makes the trip very special”.
