The Baddest Blues Band make their debut performance at the Regent centre on Friday 18th May.
An exhilarating and thoroughly modern mix of blues and contemporary influences; combining a sense of history with their own great originals and a sprinkling of classic songs by the likes of Ray Charles, Nina Simone and Willie Dixon. This earthy all-star band is guaranteed to get you rocking!
The six-piece line-up creates a distinct and individual sound, featuring the expressive, sassy vocals of Zoe Schwarz, virtuoso guitarist Rob Koral, the animated and charismatic harmonica player Si Genaro and wailing Hammond-organ grinder extraordinaire Pete Whittaker, all propelled by the achingly rocking rhythm section with Rodney Teague on bass and the legendary drummer Paul Robinson.
The individual musicians CVs include Nina Simone, Diana Ross, Rod Stewart, Bill Bruford, Lulu, Judie Tzuke, Mose Allison, Toyah, Lisa Stansfield, Paul McCartney, The Art Of Noise, Pet Shop Boys, Jan Hammer, and many more.
