Example at the BIC

Following the No.1 success of his monster hit ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’, Example releases his much anticipated new album ‘Playing In The Shadows’ on 4th September.

It has been a killer year for Example as ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ held the No.1 position in the UK charts for 2 weeks beating rock giants Coldplay to the top selling over 300K copies, now certified gold and ranked as one of the biggest selling singles of the year.

Earlier this year he featured on the Wretch 32 No.2 smash ‘Unorthodox’ and Giggs’s ‘Look Over Your Shoulder’. He also bagged one of the biggest hype tracks of 2011 with the demon Skream collaboration ‘Shot Yourself in the Foot Again’ which received over 3.5 million YouTube views, climbed to #1 on HypeMachine and became a viral hit across the world.

Now Example releases his new album ‘Playing in the Shadows’, 14-tracks of relentless monster tunes, all with killer pop choruses and huge dirty rave beats mixed with raw and candid lyrics. “It’s more grown-up, more epic,” he says “I’ve been on a crazy journey but now I’m right where I need to be. Now it’s all about music. This is the first time I’ve really worn my heart on my sleeve. This is about real life now.”

Once again Example has worked with the crème de la crème of the industry’s dance producers teaming up again with Chase and Status on the title track, Faithless who he toured with last year for ‘The Way’ and Nero on new single ‘Stay Awake’. Further production also comes courtesy of Funkagenda, Skream, Laidback Luke and Brookes Brothers to name a few.

The juggernaut that is Example LIVE has continued throughout the summer with festival appearances at Glastonbury, Wireless, Lovebox, Big Chill, V2011, Creamfields and iTunes headline to name a few. He returns to the Balearic isle to headline Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks and now Example has also announced his own 17-date headline UK tour running throughout November and December.

Example will be supported by Wretch 32 on his Bournemouth date.
