Bournemouth offers something for everyone in its top entertainment venues as well a year round events calendar including some of the UK's best FREE family events.

The town square is totally pedestrianised which makes it perfect for holding many events including local markets, live music, theatre and much more.

The Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), Pavilion Theatre and Pavilion Dance offer theatre, dance and shows across the genres of classical music, rock and pop, musicals, children's shows, comedy, ballet ice shows and ice skating. Come and see for yourself! 

With a glorious beach, plenty to keep all the family entertained and reports of a sultry micro-climate, Bournemouth truly is a premier destination.

Bournemouth Events in 2012

2012 is an exciting year for events in Bournemouth.

Classic Cars on the Prom will be returning between the 8 April and 23 September on Sunday's only (weather permitting) between 4pm and 6.30pm.

We will be celebrating all things British with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations throughout the year.

From complete novices to seasoned runners, there is something for everyone at the Bournemouth Bay Run on Sunday 1 April along Bournemouth seafront.

Set in Bournemouth’s award-winning Lower Gardens is the Pinewalk Art Exhibition which will be open from the 26 May to 9 September. View an array of beautiful art work ranging from paintings, photography, sculptures, and so much more.

As for summer events in Bournemouth, look out for the Bournemouth Carnival between the 30 July and 5 August in various locations around Bournemouth. Other exciting events not to be missed include the Fun Fair organised by 'B Cole Amusements & Sons' at Redhill Common between the 22 March and 1 April (except Wednesdays). Or why not check out the Winton Carnival at Winton Recreational Ground on Saturday 30 June?

There’ll be plenty of family fun, including the Friday Family Fiestas which are set to take place throughout August with a spectacular firework display in the evening. Follow Mr Tumble’s trail through Bournemouth when he visited in February.

The Candlelight Nights will return during the summer on Wednesday evenings on 1, 8, 15 and 22 August.

The spectacular Bournemouth Air Festival 2012 returns for a fifth year of stunning aerobatic displays and exciting evening entertainment, held from the 30 August to 2 September.
