1. Buckets and spades at the ready: What better way to spend the Easter holidays, than on Bournemouth’s gorgeous beaches for a family break on a budget? Experience a traditional seaside holiday, building sandcastles, soaking up the spring sunshine or enjoying a family picnic.And don’t miss the Easter Bonnet Parade at Bournemouth Pier, with celebrity judge Debra Stephenson on the 9 April!

2. Family Fun: Pavilion Dance is offering a host of high quality dance performances, classes and workshops throughout the holidays for those aged between 3-9 years. Don't miss Longleat Safari & Adventure Park which is being transformed into the magical world of Alice in Wonderland. And the Oceanarium will be offering visitors have the chance to get up-close and discover more about fascinating egg-laying residents, including the Oceanarium’s new leopard geckos. 3. Picnic in the park: Make sure the picnic basket is full to the brim with goodies. There’s plenty of beautiful parks and gardens for your family to enjoy an Easter picnic. Why not top up your basket with Easter treats, such as hot cross buns and chocolate eggs?

4. All aboard: Jump aboard the Seafront Land Train sponsored by Paultons Park, sit back and enjoy the seafront scene as we sweep you along the Promenade.  You can travel from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier, via Boscombe Gardens or from Bournemouth Pier to Alum Chine.

5. Have a break: Take time out from your busy day and stop at one of Bournemouth’s restaurants for a light lunch or sumptuous dinner. There are over 250 restaurants in Bournemouth, offering every type of international cuisine, from Spanish and Mexican to French and Greek.

6. I want to ride my bicycle: With spring in the air and summer just around the corner, Easter is the perfect time to dust off your bikes and go on a family bike ride. There’s plenty of exciting cycle routes which you can follow, or simply take a gentle cycle along the seafront and enjoy the views.

7. Buzzing Boscombe: Just a few minutes away from Bournemouth is Boscombe. Take a walk along the overstrand and enjoy a luscious meal, made from locally-sourced Dorset produce. Only a short detour will take you to Boscombe Chine gardens, which boasts a childrens water play area, mini golf, nature trail and public art trail.
