Bournemouth Surf School - Basic Group Lesson

Learn to surf...the only way you can really understand what all the fuss is about is to get some gear and get wet!! That’s where we can help. Surf Steps, Bournemouth Surf School, situated on Bournemouth beach, 500m from Boscombe pier, is the only Centre of Excellence in the UK. All our instructors are CRB checked and BSA Accredited Professional Surf Instructors with many years of experience. We offer a selection of different courses to suit all levels and requirements.

Surf Steps, Bournemouth Surf School only sell surf lessons so we have no retail motivations, we believe it is a privilege to teach surfing. Whatever the weather, (as long as the red flags are not flying!) our main focus is to give students a safe, satisfying, surfing experience. We pride ourselves on our ability to professionally teach the skills of surfing and instill in students a healthy respect and awareness of the beautiful yet powerful Ocean.

People of all ages and backgrounds have discovered that with lessons and practice, they too can experience the thrill of catching a wave; it is also a great way to keep fit and meet new people. Why spend the summer in a stuffy gym when you can go to the beach and still get a good work out!

A Basic Group Lesson

You will be learning as part of a group.
An introduction to water safety and beach awareness.
Learn how to ride and control a board lying down.
Learn how to ‘pop up’ and ride a board standing up.
All equipment included.
Ideal for beginners.
Duration 2-3 hours.
