AJP Tours - Stonehenge & Salisbury Shuttle (half day tour - PM)

With years of experience in the tourism field, we provide tourists and international students with the opportunity to visit fantastic local destinations such as the Isle of Purbeck, the New Forest and the Jurassic Coast and further afield to Bath, Salisbury and Stonehenge.

All tours are led by an experienced tour guide, with the emphasis on seeing the places you want to see in a small group, at a relaxed pace and in an informed but fun environment.

Maps and detailed printed information will be provided, but please note that entrance fees are not included in any of our tours.

We use quality vehicles, fully equipped with three-point seat belts which are serviced and checked every eight weeks.

Our first stop is the world-famous prehistoric monument of Stonehenge. Dating back nearly 5,000 years, and with two-tonne stones brought 200 miles from Wales, it has become a major symbol of Pagan worship, as well as the subject of public debate and conjecture ever since. Your tour guide will provide you with some stories relating to the site and then you will have the chance to visit it yourself for approximately 1 hour.

We will then move on to visit the ancient city of Salisbury with its grand 123 metre high cathedral, home to an original copy of the Magna Carta, as well as some beautiful grounds and cloisters. Your tour guide will again provide you with information on the Cathedral and the city itself, which you may explore at your lesiure for an hour or so before returning to Bournemouth.

Departure will be from Bournemouth Travel Interchange (Bay K) at 1345 or at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre (coach drop-off point, Westover Road) at 1400 on the afternoon of departure. Children aged 0-4 years travel free.
