Restaurants in Bournemouth

Fresh seafood in abundance, succulent, locally reared beef, lamb and pork, artisan Dorset cheeses and classic cream teas - no matter what you're craving is, Bournemouth can deliver it.

Located where we are, it will come as no surprise that the seafood available here is come of the best in the country. Plump, juicy prawns, sweet lobster, Dorset rock oysters and some of the tastiest fish in the ocean are all landed locally, seven days a week.

If fruits de mer and moules frites aren't for you, there is always the staple seaside supper of fish and chips to fall back on, and they will never taste better than when you are sitting on a bench on the prom, taking in the bracing sea air.

More hearty fare can be found by sampling some superb Dorset pork sausages and bacon at breakfast, available at a number of cafes and bistros beside Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers, which also stock locally sourced teas and coffees.

International cuisine is also well represented in Bournemouth and the surrounding area. The suburbs of Winton and Charminster, located a couple of miles from Bournemouth town centre, have a wide range of offerings. Nestled alongside popular Italian and Indian restaurants, you'll find Lebanese, Mongolian, Mexican and Indonesian dishes to tempt you.

Outside of breakfast, lunch and dinner is another great British tradition that is very well represented in Bournemouth - afternoon tea! Dainty finger sandwiches, light and fluffy scones, fruit-packed jam and lashings of clotted cream. What's not to like? Many of the town's hotels and restaurants offer great versions of afternoon tea. Care to sample deliciously savoury Dorset Blue Vinny scones with yours? Or perhaps washing it down with something a little stronger than Earl Grey? How about Champagne, or a decadent chocolate Martini? You'll find it all in Bournemouth.

We've got lots of Eating Out special offers for you - take a look and indulge!
